Photography class!

So i just saw these pictures today and was like...! i forgot to post these! So last monday there was a photography class for home schooled people. And i went to it :) along with emilie and rachel. And of course i took pictures.... so ya :)

Sneak peak!

So me and juli did a photoshoot yesterday but, i have to go through and edit them all. But i want to get this photo up right now cause im gonna enter in emilie's photo contest! So here is a little sneak peak on what we did yesterday :)

Rose

So my brother got my mom a rose and i was like... im goona go take some pictures! So i found out this "technique" that makes a black background with out editing it in on lightroom. And so i thought id give it a try! And this is how it turned out :)

So iv always wanted to draw with lights... and i finally got to do it! I got julianna to do it with me ;) .

Fundamentals of digital photography

How-to-do it.

Hey everyone! So the post i did a couple days ago i had a couple emails asking me "how did you do that?"

  To tell the truth it is actually pretty simple. What you need: A camera and a tripod. Then at dusk you go out to a somewhat busy street (or a really busy street) and set up your tripod and camera on the side of the street, or on a bridge going over the street, or anywhere facing the street.





Then id say set your shutter speed to 8 seconds or longer (you could probably do shorter but then the streaks wont be as long and bright). Now point your camera towards the sky and set aperture till your meter says you have a correct exposure. Set your camera on your tripod and click away!  I would suggest using a self timer so that you don't bump the camera and get blurry pictures. I sadly didn't take any pictures of me doing it :P sorry! I tried to find a picture of someone doing it online but i could not :( Anyways all the pictures (except the very top) i got off of google :)

I am NOT AT ALL a  pro at this but i read a couple different posts and part of a book about this. And im just saying from what i did. If you want to know more you could google it (that what i did) or email me but this is pretty much all i know!  :).  My settings were: F-stop-22, Shutter speed-8 seconds, ISO-400

Early morning dew drops

So yesterday morning there was some amazingly perfect dew drops on the grass. It was so beautiful when you got up close. So i was like i HAVE to go get my camera. So ya!

Long shutter speed

Today my mom took me to go take pictures at dusk! (iv been asking for like a month) And i left the shutter speed open for like 10 seconds and got the head lights and tail lights of cars to make red and white streaks across the picture! Anyways ya... :)
